Transportation is available for Dewey seniors from the Washington County Adult Center, 300 Angus. Rides must be scheduled 24-hours in advance by calling 534-1140. There may be a fee involved.
Also available is City Ride. Call 336-0042 or 336-2233 to schedule a ride. Cost is $2 one way, per stop. For example, if you are picked up, taken to the store, and returned home that will be $4. Subject to availability.
Elder Care also has volunteers to take those needing a ride to the doctor, pharmacy, or in some cases the grocery store. This is a free service, and 48-hour advance notice is required. Call 336-8500.
