We lost one of Dewey's biggest fans in June, 2009. Wally Bray was the owner of Barking Dog Design Group, and President of the Dewey Civic Association. His sudden death devastated all who knew him.
Wally's family has set up a memorial to him that will benefit one of Wally's pet projects - The Northeastern Oklahoma Welcome Center in Dewey. In 2008, the DCA purchased property from the school on Highway 75 and Bulldogger for the purpose of opening a Welcome Center for tourists coming from the north and south. With many charitable organizations cutting back on gifts and grants, the Welcome Center is in dire need of donations of money, materials, and time.
