8/13/2015  There is currently a position open in the Dewey Police Department for a full-time police officer:

The City of Dewey is accepting applications for  Police Officer. CLEET Certification is preferred but not required. Applicants must be 21 years old, have a valid Oklahoma driver’s license, High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, and must be a U.S. Citizen. Applicants need to have a clean driving record and must not have ever been convicted of a Felony. Applications can be picked up at the Dewey Police Department located at 409 E. Don Tyler, Dewey, Ok. 74029 between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 pm. Monday thru Friday.  When there is an opening with  the Police Department, it will be listed here.  Applications are accepted year-round.  Dewey is an EOE.

Community Development Director – City of Dewey

The City of Dewey is accepting applications for the position of a part-time Community Development Director. Under direction of the City Manager, the Community Development director serves as a central point of contact for businesses, developers and contractors. This position will report directly to the City Manager, and oversee the development and maintenance of an economic plan for the community, and will help improve the City of Dewey through existing business retention, and development, attracting new businesses that improve the quality of life, and promotion of the Dewey area to attract visitors. Salary negotiable DOQ
