To begin water service, come in to City Hall and fill out a contract, bringing your driver's license or other state-issued I.D. The deposit is normally $75 for your water/sewer/trash, paid at the time the contract is filled out. Your deposit is refunded to your account after 2 years of penalty-free service or if you move out of the city. Deposits are transferrable to other addresses inside Dewey City Limits. Water deposits from other cities cannot be transferred to your Dewey service.
Base rate for water service inside Dewey city limits is $12.60. Minimum usage of 2,000 gallons is included in the base charge. Any usage over 2,000 gallons is charged at a rate of $3.68 per 1,000 gallons. Sewer base rate is $7.62, and an additional rate of $2.89 per 1,000 gallons is charged. Base rate for water service outside the city limits but within our service area is $18.90. Minimum usage of 2,000 gallons is included in the base rate. Any usage over 2,000 gallons is charges at a rate of $5.52 per thousand gallons. Sewer base rate is $11.43 plus an additional $4.33 per 1,000 gallons used.
