Mowing Grass Onto Streets & Sidewalks NOT Allowed

It is against Dewey's city ordinances to "deposit, throw or sweep into or upon the streets, alleys, parking or sidewalks of the city any paper, rubbish, grass, weeds, tree trimmings, dirt, trash, crates, boxes or other refuse of any kind".  This can be found in Chapter 1 USE AND OBSTRUCTION OF STREETS, Section 14-103.   If mown grass is deposited into the street surrounding your property, you will be asked to clean it up (even if you weren't the one who mowed or used the weedeater).  If the grass is not removed, you could be the recipient of a substantial ticket.

Keeping streets clear of debris prevents drains from becoming clogged.  Please help keep Dewey clean!
