The well is located on the corner of Don Tyler Ave. and Delaware St. This historic well was the first in the territory, and was named for Jake Bartles, the founder of Dewey. Legendary Tom Mix used the well to water his horse! You should note that the replica of the original sign marking the historic well has been duplicated down to the mis-spelled word: "wattered".
