This nondescript concrete structure once held bad guys of all sorts. When Tom Mix was Marshal of Dewey, he used this rustic jail to house the perpetrators he arrested. The jail used to be located north of the Fire Station.  In 2013, the jail was deconstructed and rebuilt to the north of the Dewey Hotel.  Thanks go out  to Bartlesville Redi-Mix, Hughes Lumber Co., Kenneth & Marilyn Tate, John & Carol Orloski, Esteban Vargas III, the City of Dewey, the Washington County Historical Society, and the Tom Mix Museum for their assistance in  the reconstruction.
